It's Been A While...

Sorry I haven't written in a while guys, I've found a life recently. I've been playing The Sims 3 and Pokemon for a few months now. [That makes me sound even sadder...scratch that.]

I've been hanging out with a few friends recently. [By friends I mean 2 people.] Not only that, but I haven't found anything to blog about. How about you guys give me some ideas on something to rant about? =D I should have asked for this a while ago.

A big part of the reason I haven't been blogging is because I'm never home. I swear, I only come home to sleep. Right now it's 9 in the morning and I should be at school, but seeing as how my school is ridiculous and gives me 90 averages when I don't do anything, I think they'll let it slide. I decided to take some time to update for you guys. I miss the feedback and what not!

So my Facebook friends have found my shoops hilarious, so I've been getting requests from them to stick their faces on something funny. I'll post some of the pictures below, but I doubt you guys will get some of them; most of them are inside jokes.

Yesterday was my birthday, and I didn't really do anything. My friends sang me happy birthday even though I begged and cried [not really] for them not to. Am I the only one who feels uncomfortable when people sing to me? I wanted to hide behind the couch! Then I ate some cheap $2.99 cake that I bought, and then I made some frozen pizza and didn't share with anybody.

I've been kind of angry at the world since I got Pokemon Soul Silver, because I seem to be the only girl in the world who plays Pokemon. Because of that, I realized two things: 1: I don't have any friends who are girls anyway [except maybe two], and 2: I've been hanging out with way too much testosterone. Every single day, at school, after school, on the weekends; It's all guys. The girls in my school, neighborhood, city, [state?] all seem to be focused on whore-parties, weed, sex, and Blackberries. [Sidekicks used to be the ghetto phones, now they're slowly turning Blackberries against normal people.] Even if I TRIED to talk to them [which I never would], we would have absolutely nothing to talk about. I've been thinking of either getting homeschooled or transferring to my friends' school. I can't decide. Homeschooling costs money, which I do not have flowing out of my ass, and my friends' school has over 1,000 kids and metal detectors, but it's a good chance to meet new people. What do you guys think?

Anyways, here are some pictures I made that people seem to think are funny:

I really don't wanna stop writing now that I've started again, but I've learned first-hand that nobody will read a wall-of-text.

I wanna hear from you guys!!!
Comment below and write anything you wanna hear me blog about, or any feedback, or if you actually think these pictures are funny.

McDonalds Hires Really Stupid People

So a few days ago I went to Mcdonalds with my boyfriend. We ordered 12 snack wraps [Don't ask] and patiently waited for our order.
Then we get our order, and we start to leave and my boyfriend says, "Let me count it, just in case." It turns out we only got 8 snack wraps. So we go back and tell the lady that we ordered and paid for 12 snack wraps, and she only gave us 8. She stares at us for a minute, and repeats what I said. Then she goes back with our bag and looks around stupidly and tells someone that we ordered 12 and we got 8. [Even though it was her fault.]
So we wait some more and she comes back with two bags. We say thank you and start to leave, and then my boyfriend starts counting them. Then he realizes, the lady split up our 8 snack wraps, put 4 of them in each bag, and gave it to us. I was like, "Are you serious????"
So we get on the line AGAIN. Then the lady comes out with another bag and says "Here," and leaves. It was the last 4 snack wraps.

Sometimes I really hate McDonalds.

MONEY ISN'T EVERYTHING

So all my close friends know that to me, success means being happy. Not having a big house and cars and a rich husband and being famous.

Unfortunately, all my family members, seeing as how none of them even went to college, think that I should go for the best job possible, or in their words, "doctor" and "lawyer". I was talking to my aunt a few minutes ago and somehow this whole discussion came up. Basically she was saying, "MONEY IS IMPORTANT!" and I was like, "no." And then we started arguing.

Then she was implying that unless I get a high paying job I'm gonna be poor. I was like,
"I'm not gonna be poor".
"No? NO? What are you gonna do then???"
"I'm gonna be a teacher."
"*cardiac arrest* A TEACHER?"
"Yeah."
"No, you're not gonna be no damn teacher."
"Why not? What's wrong with it?"
"YOU'RE DOWNGRADING YOURSELF!!!"
"Um, that's what I wanna do."

Then she started talking about how I was good at the guitar and singing and writing and I said that's not what I want to do. Apparently she wants to control my life. Then she had the nerve to say, "Whoever did this to you is truly evil!"

W. T. F.

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL????

Then I told her she was being materialistic and rude for putting my dreams down, and she denied she was being mean and what not.

I was trying not to be mean, because she's my aunt and everything, but seriously. I was PISSED OFF.

Then she had the AUDACITY to say that I'M materialistic and a little kid for whining about cowboy boots and my guitar. You know how I've wanted these things forever? Then I was like, "If I was an adult I wouldn't be "whining" about this stuff. I'm not an adult yet, I'm allowed to "whine"." Amirite, or amirite?

Then she said she was "shocked" and what not, and I was shocked too. I didn't know how materialistic people can be. Really, what's the big deal? I want to know. I'm pissed off, and confused as to why this should practically give her a heart attack.

Then she was like, "All those successful people always had someone there pushing them and believing in them, and I'm trynna be that to you, but..." Then I said, "Well when you're "pushing" me to do something that I don't wanna do, then I'm not going to end up successful, am I?" Then she got mad cause she hates when she can't think of something to say cause her head hurts from thinking.

But anyway, basically what I'm trying to say is that everyone should be who they wanna be, and that money means nothing, happiness is everything. [Well, to me, anyway.]

It's A Man's Instinct To Be Chivalrous To A Dainty Woman: Gender Roles, Who's Fault Is It?

Women want classic chivalry. Of course. They want independence, equality, and self-control, of course. But sometimes the two don't come hand in hand. Do women know what men consider to be "chivalry"?
Like most of these topics, this won't be just about how men don't treat women equally. This whole topic involves many, many other things, especially things that women do to maximize the "perfect woman" image. Yes, it's also women's fault. [Keep in mind, I'm not choosing any sides, I'm just reporting as I see it.]

Part I: A Woman's Image

Women wear makeup. Frilly dresses. Do their nails. Shave their legs, armpits, wax every other hair on their body. Get disgusted by the things that men do when they're with their friends, like burping, or the things they talk about.
Many of these things are seen by men as a sign of weakness, or a fault, as to why they should be treated like they're something fragile, delicate. Like the dresses, and the nails. I'm not sure about the makeup, because some men see this as a doll-like quality, but others don't.
Because they look so delicate and dainty, something in a man's mind says, "Let me get those bags for her." Or "Let me open the door for her." Or even something like, "No, you can't help me with this, this is a man's job." It's a man's instinct to treat a woman like she's too dainty for something, especially when she looks the part.
Women try so hard to look perfect, and then get angry when a man treats her what he would call, being a gentleman. But men and women think chivalry are different things.
My boyfriend thinks chivalry is not letting me hold any bags and not letting me walk on the outside of the sidewalk. It makes me mad sometimes, but it's just instinct for some guys. It's not instinct for women to spend hours on their appearance, or sacrificing needs, i.e. being able to wipe your ass, just for pretty, long, perfect acrylic nails, or any other thing like that. Women need to understand that they can't whine about equality while they're making themselves up to be porcelain dolls, for people on the street to admire, for their boyfriends to proudly take their arm.

Part II: A Man's Perspective

Like I've stated before, it's a man's instinct to be chivalrous. The point is, women and men obviously think differently, and they think different of chivalry.
With women, chivalry is, you know, the basic stuff, like holding open doors, letting her have the seat on the bus or train, paying for her, protecting her from harm, etc.
With men, however, chivalry is basically a gender role. Women are "not allowed" to do some things because they're "a mans job". For example, doing the mechanical work, or insisting on holding her bags because they're, apparently, too heavy for a woman. Men would say it's just common courtesy. Women would say it's sexism, the idea that women are too dainty and delicate to do certain things.

Part III: Society's Teachings

What would you say if you saw a man with hairy legs, hairy armpits, facial hair, and arm hair? Nothing, that's just natural.
What if you saw a woman, with hairy legs? Hairy armpits? Bushy eyebrows? You'd probably be disgusted, regardless of whether you're a man or a woman.
This somehow means that hair is a man thing. [Except on your head, of course.] If I asked why it's a man thing, you'd say, because it looks disgusting on a woman.
Why? What makes hair so manly? Do you think that before, like when everyone lived in huts, that people cared about things like armpit hair on a woman? Why is body hair considered a "man thing"?
If you can't come up with an answer to that, then you can probably see how easy it is for the media to convince people of certain things, especially when it comes to gender roles.
Society is, basically, the reason why men think women are inferior to them, or weaker, more delicate and fragile. Which is why men treat women the way they do.

Part IV: So Who's Fault Is It?

It's everyone's fault!!!

Magazine/Internet Love Quizzes [And Why They Suck]

You know those quizzes that come in those magazines, titled things like "Is It True Love?", "Is He A Cheater?", "Do Guys Find You Attractive?", etc.? Yeah well I've read quite a few of them and I find that they're absolutely RIDICULOUS.

Exhibit A:

"Is It True Love?"
[A quiz in CosmoGirl]

Almost all the questions are ridiculous, but here are a few that shouldn't have even been in there:

1:
"The first time you met your boyfriend you felt:
A. Psyched! He was really cute!
B. Surprised, you felt like you knew him.
C. Intrigued; you wanted to learn more."

Here's the problem:
First off, first impressions are not always right. For example, when my aunt met her late husband she DESPISED him. She hated him for a couple of years, actually. And what happens? They ended up getting married and having kids.

So explain to me; How is your first impression of your boyfriend supposed to determine if it's true love or not? There's no such thing as love at first sight.

2:
"You mention that Fall Out Boy is playing soon. What does your guy say?
A. "I already got tickets for us."
B. "Oh, I'll have to keep it in mind."
C. "Maybe we should go.""

This question is seriously stupid. First off, mentioning that you want to see Fall Out Boy and your boyfriend's reaction depends on whether he even LIKES the band. For example, if I "mentioned" to my boyfriend that a certain band is "playing soon", seeing as how he hates my music, he'd probably just say, "Oh, okay. You gonna go?" Secondly, implying that whether or not your boyfriend buys you tickets to a concert determines whether it's true love or not is retarded. What does love have to do with music?

Now from another quiz called "Are You And Your Boyfriend Too Serious?"

1:
"You're at a show and a hottie starts chatting you up. You:
A. Flirt and later glance at his Myspace profile, but that's it.
B. Give out your digits. You're not married or anything, right?
C. Quickly say, "My sweetie loves this band but he was busy tonight.""

We all know that in certain quizzes there are "right" and "wrong" answers even though you're supposed to be analyzing from your own personal experience, especially in quizzes like these. There's usually a Right answer, the Neutral answer, and the Wrong answer. I don't have to tell you which on is which, right? The problem with THAT is that if I dated someone long enough to call them my "boyfriend", I'd say something close to C, although we know that's the "Wrong" answer. The ideal answer would be A or B, but I would consider that foul play. The whole point of these quizzes is for you to put yourself in these hypothetical situations, right? Doing so, I'd consider B to be completely wrong, and A is still bad. I just imagine my boyfriend finding out I was flirting with another guy and we exchanged Myspaces.

2:
"You write a letter to your grandparents. What topic takes up the most space?
A. Catching them up on the rest of your family.
B. School and extracurricular activites.
C. Whoever you're dating."

My problem with THIS question is not the fact that it has nothing to do with being "too serious", but that it's just creepy and stupid. To begin with, even if I was married, I wouldn't write my grandparents a letter all about my husband. Obviously I'd be "catching them up on the rest of the family". Sure, I'd include a few bits about him, but choice A is like, the international right answer for everyone.

And now: "Is your boyfriend a cheater?"

1: "One of your friends did something hurtful and you tell him about it. He:
A. Thinks of possible justifications for her behavior.
B. Says it's a bummer.
C. Listens, asks questions, and sympathizes."

What does this have to do with cheating??? The variables involved in cheating are:

Boyfriend + Hot Girl + Physical/Emotional intimacy - Girlfriend = Cheating.

Not only that, but I can't even think of which of the answers are Right and Wrong. You know why??? Because this has nothing to do with cheating.

2: "To your knowledge, has he cheated before?
A. Yes
B. You're not sure
C. No

Is there even anything to say about this question?
First off, if he has, in fact, cheated on you before, then you're stupid. On the other hand, whether he's cheated on you or not doesn't determine whether he'll cheat on you. There's a first time for everything.

There are MANY MANY MANY more quizzes that I could criticize, but I think I'm done with my rant now.

Invisible Flaws

I have noticed recently that everyone has something that they do or have on them that they don't know about. It's kinda hard to explain. But for example, some people may smell horrible and not even know it. Or some people might be veryyyy annoying and everyone hates them and they don't know it. There's kinda two parts to this post, so I'll try my best to explain it as best as I can, seeing as how my brain knows what I'm saying even before I finish my sentence, but obviously you guys don't.

Well to begin with, It seems like I'm the only normal person in the street. Normal for lack of better term, by the way. For example, some people just don't know how the hell to walk. They wail their arms around, stand in the middle of the street while people are trying to walk, walk while looking in another direction until they practically run someone over, etc. It never occurred to me until today that I never do these things.

Another thing, some people have the worst spelling and grammar. It's like, How don't you see that mistake??? Some people can't write one sentence without misspelling almost every word. Don't you people notice these things???

Also, some people may have stuff on their face or on their body that they never notice. For example, I used to know this girl who had the worst food buildup in her teeth. Like, do you seriously not see that???

These are just a few of the things that I notice people do that somehow I never do. Is it just me? Or do I do stuff like this too but no one ever tells me? If I do, please tell me. I don't wanna be like these people o_o
I srsly don't know anyone who doesn't have one of these "Invisible flaws" as I call them. Does anyone else think like this? Cause sometimes I think that all of us feel this way, but because the flaws are invisible we never know about them so we think we're better than others.

TWILIGHT. [My Biggest Rant Yet]

Okay, right now I am very very mad. So please excuse some of the cursing in here.

So a few minutes ago I was watching the rerun of the MTV Movie Awards, which I would like to point out isn't actually a real legit award ceremony, it's just a popularity contest. But anyway, I'm very upset that Twilight won over Slumdog Millionaire in more than one category. Actually, in every category that Twilight has been in, they've won, except for best song, which that hoe Miley Cyrus won, which is almost worse. After today, I cannot watch MTV ever again. it saddens me to know that people who watch MTV like Twilight better than Slumdog Millionaire, and like Miley Cyrus better than A.R. Rahman, who brilliantly wrote the music for Slumdog.

So I casually expressed my resentment that Twilight won "Best Movie" or something, and before I knew it we were arguing about Twilight. What a great way to spend the weekend, right? I told you this weekend was gonna suck.

Fran (4:26:18 PM): Twilight is sexist and abusive.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:27:26 PM): Its not real Fran
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:27:31 PM): I don't see how its sexist

Fran (4:27:46 PM): It's not real but people watch it and read it and it conveys bad morals.
Fran (4:28:27 PM): Bella plays the weak damsel in distress,
Fran (4:28:40 PM): All Bella cares about is Edward,
Fran (4:28:47 PM): He manipulates her into marriage.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:29:18 PM): She wanted to be with him forever because she loved him

Fran (4:29:30 PM): They're not in love, they're infatuated with each other.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:29:38 PM): Yeah they do. They have a choice either to love them back

Fran (4:29:43 PM): if they were in love he wouldn't emotionally abuse her.

This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off, when people think that it's okay for a guy to control and emotionally abuse a girl. Whenever I bring this up the twilight "luvers" say that he does it cause he loves her and that it's not abuse. Well guess what? It is.

Emotional Abuse: Abuse is any behavior that is designed to control and subjugate another human being through the use of fear, humiliation, intimidation, guilt, coercion, manipulation etc. Emotional abuse is any kind of abuse that is emotional rather than physical in nature. It can include anything from verbal abuse and constant criticism to more subtle tactics, such as repeated disapproval or even the refusal to ever be pleased.

This is what Edward does to Bella. This is abuse. But obviously you guys think it's okay and say things like "aww, he cares so much about her". No. He had her kidnapped. What the fuck.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:32:52 PM): That's because nobody knows about vampires and he's trying to let her know that a life with him is a life without the sun because they "sparkle"
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:33:00 PM): She wanted to do it

Fran (4:33:20 PM): so what if she wanted to do it???? THAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE. do you realize that 12 year old girls read this?

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007(4:33:37 PM): And so, she didn't go to college. She at least graduated from high school.

LMFAO. This is the funniest defense I have ever heard. Just because you want abuse doesn't make it right.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:34:56 PM): Yeah but like I said its not REAL. Its just there for entertainment. Vampires are 'in' again. So what if they read it? Its fiction
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:35:32 PM): And if they're stupid enough to actually believe it then that's their problem.

Fran (4:36:03 PM): dude, i know its fiction. the problem is that people read this and they think its okay. they send bad messages. of course no one is gonna believe it. but if you wrote a fictional book about how slavery is okay, you're saying that its okay because it fiction. right?
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:36:48 PM): Nope. That's why its fiction. Its fake
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:37:21 PM): Slavery was non-fiction. It actually happened. 'Owning' people is just wrong

Fran (4:37:29 PM): dude, you're missing the point.
Fran (4:37:30 PM): DUDE
Fran (4:37:31 PM): LMFAO
Fran (4:37:37 PM): DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS REAL TOO.
Fran (4:37:43 PM): SEXISM IS REAL TOO.
Fran (4:37:44 PM): LMAO
Fran (4:37:47 PM): Wow.

The sentence I love the most:
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:38:25 PM): But he didn't beat her.

o_o

Is there anything to say to that? That's just like WTF. Just because he didn't beat her doesn't make emotional abuse better.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007(4:40:46 PM): I'm trying to understand where you're coming from. I don't see any ounce of sexism in that whole Saga

Fran (4:41:45 PM): you're saying "its okay that the book has bad messages because its fictional and its fake". you honestly don't see any sexism? Bella is a weak character and is controlled by edward. he abuses her, and she makes it seem as if everyone needs a man to control them.
Fran (4:42:06 PM): the thing is
Fran (4:42:13 PM): She doesn't even notice the sexism
Fran (4:42:16 PM): she doesn't notice the abuse
Fran (4:42:22 PM): which makes the whole saga even worse.
Fran (4:42:31 PM): especially since little girls look up to her
Fran (4:43:53 PM): shes stupid, pointless, weak, dependent, and annoying.
Fran (4:47:28 PM): she is the weakest character ever written and she lets edward and everyone else control her.

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:48:09 PM): Like mental abuse or what?

Fran (4:48:17 PM): yes, mental abuse!!!!!

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:48:54 PM): Ohhhhhh!
OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:49:01 PM): Haha

Fran (4:49:23 PM): and shes supposed to be independent
Fran (4:49:31 PM): but shes obsessed with edward
Fran (4:49:37 PM): and she doesnt care about anything else
Fran (4:49:42 PM): its ridiculous and sexist

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:49:47 PM): But she's like a lovesick puppy

Fran (4:49:54 PM): EXACTLY
Fran (4:49:56 PM): A LOVESICK PUPPY

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:50:05 PM): Hahaha!

Fran (4:50:14 PM): shes like obsessed and controlled by him
Fran (4:50:18 PM): like wtf
Fran (4:50:23 PM): why do you read this shit??

OMGIlovetwilightTwlightLuver007 (4:50:41 PM): Okay okay. It was entertainment. I like it

Fran (4:51:01 PM): Really???? you cant find any other means of entertainment????? wtf.

So this is the reason I'm so angry. That people have to stoop down to the "Twlight" level to be entertained. I really don't know why people like this crap so much.

For all you guys who like Twilight:

GET A LIFE.
GO READ A REAL BOOK.
STOP FAPPING TO EDWARD.
GO GET HIT BY A TRUCK.
